Choosing the right colour for your composite windows
If you’re embarking on a self-build or merely modernising or extending your current home, your choice of windows and their colour can help to achieve the right look and style to suit your home.
Westcoast Swedish aluminium timber composite windows are available in a whole world of standard and bespoke colour variations. Consideration should be given to the exterior construction of your home and what would complement or contrast with the materials and colours.
COMPOSITE WINDOWS EXTERNAL COLOUR
With Westcoast composite windows, the low maintenance stylish aluminium exterior can be finished in wide range of colours. The powder coated aluminium exterior needs no re-painting, just minimal maintenance (ie, an occasional wipe down with a soft cloth and soapy water) – saving you time and money in the long run.
More and more homeowners are considering coloured windows for their homes, for instance a period property may suit heritage colours such as olive green or elephant grey. If you’re building a contemporary home, perhaps stylish graphite grey or sleek black may be more your style.
Westcoast windows and doors can be finished in any of our standard RAL coatings below, including two colours unique to Westcoast that mimic an anodised finish – Amber and Natur. Alternatively you can choose from any of the bespoke RAL coatings or NCS ranges.
COMPOSITE WINDOWS WOOD INTERIOR COLOUR
Westcoast windows and doors are manufactured with a warm wood interior that can be lacquered, stained or painted in a finish or colour of your choosing. Not only that, as an alternative to the standard knot-free pine, we can offer oak or other wood species.
The internal timber is factory finished with a multi-coat spray applied water based clear lacquer, paint to NCS/RAL colours or a wide range of stain finishes. These need very little maintenance, just a wipe over with a soft damp cloth from time to time.
If your interior style is clean and minimalist you may wish to finish the timber in a bright white. If it’s a traditional barn conversion you can choose an oak timber with a clear or stained lacquer for an authentic warm wood feel. You may opt for a Scandinavian approach, blending a sleek pine finish to complement soft hues and textures for a warm and inviting home.
