When you’re choosing composite windows for your home or self-build, the terminology can be confusing. Here’s a helpful reminder of the useful jargon… Acoustic glazing – glass that is specially designed to reflect, absorb and dampen soundwaves. Aluminium Clad Window – a term usually used to describe timber windows that have had a piece of aluminium clipped to the outer face. (Although can also be used to describe Composite Windows – see below).
