When the clients moved into their single-storey 1970s bungalow in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, they had plans to renovate it and move on. However 20 year later it is still their home, however unrecognisable from its original appearance. Following previous attempts to get planning permission to add a second floor in 2004, the couple settled on a side and rear extension instead.
