Triple-glazed Westcoast composite windows and sliding doors transformed this contemporary holiday home on the Norfolk Broads.
Westcoast Windows distributor partner, Aluminium Clad Windows by TWN,were delighted to work on this two phase project for a distinctive contemporary holiday home near Wroxham, Norfolk.
Working closely with the client and the architect, William Glover, who were chosen for their contemporary build experience, the project was completed in two phases. The first part was to renovate this individual home on stilts, and the second phase was to fill in the downstairs to create a unique upside down house with beautiful views across the River Bure.
“I would just like to thank all the team at TWN Aluminium Clad Windows for their help from the initial quotation stage through to installation, I am very happy with the overall appearance and specification which complements the architectural style of my house. The windows and doors have allowed me to achieve my desired end result with large openings that allow for an uninterrupted view of the outdoors.”
For multi-storey buildings where cleaning and/or reglazing is to be carried out internally.
The concealed projecting reversible hinge allows the sash to be fully reversed with all the action externally so the operation of the sash never interferes with curtains, blinds or internal fitments.
The easy glide mechanism incorporates integral safety restrictors which automatically engage when opening and when in the fully reversed cleaning position. Concealed multipoint espagnolette locking provides superior closing tightness for weatherproofing and acoustic attenuation and offers a secure night ventilation position.
For residential access purposes at ground floor terrace or upper floor level balcony locations where large openings are required and doors are to be secured principally from within the building.
A simple rotation of the operating handle disengages the sliding leaf from the multipoint locking bolts and at the same time, the mechanism allows the leaf to effortlessly slide into the open position.
