HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT COLOURS FOR YOUR COMPOSITE WINDOWS

Whether you’re planning a new home or just updating or extending your current home, if you’re looking for new windows and want to make a real statement, the time may be right to look further than white and explore the whole range of colours available.

WHAT’S YOUR STYLE?

More and more homeowners are considering coloured windows for their properties.

If you’re updating your windows on a period property you may be looking for a heritage feel such as a sympathetic olive green or elephant grey.

Alternatively if you’re creating your own ‘Grand Designs’ style self-build with a contemporary edge, a bold charcoal grey or sleek black may be more your style.

With our full range of external colours, there have never been more opportunities to make your mark with stylish composite windows in a whole range of exciting colours and finishes.

WHY CHOOSE COMPOSITE WINDOWS OVER UPVC?

You may be considering uPVC windows, however, even though there are a wide range of colours and wood ‘effect’ finishes available you may miss the authentic feel of real wood.

That’s one of the real advantages of true bonded composite windows – you can select a bespoke colour for the outside and your choice of wood finish on the inside, allowing you to enjoy the best of both worlds alongside all the usual benefits of energy efficiency and a long life span.

Our windows are finished in pine as standard, but you can choose oak or another timber species of your preference, factory finished in lacquer, stain or painted a colour of your choice.

WHAT ABOUT MAINTENANCE?

Westcoast Windows Swedish designed and manufactured composite windows have a powder coated aluminium exterior that needs no painting, just minimal maintenance – saving you time and money in the long run.

There are a wide range of colours available as standard from the RAL classic range (shown below), with two colours unique to Westcoast that mimic an anodised finish – Amber and Natur.

DO I NEED TO TREAT THE WOOD INSIDE?

The internal timber is factory finished with a multi-coat spray applied water based clear lacquer, paint to NCS/RAL colours or a wide range of stain finishes.

These need very little maintenance, just a wipe over with a soft damp cloth from time to time. The windows are supplied as standard in knot-free laminated pine, with a wide range of oak or other wood options available in oiled or lacquered finish.
