Westcoast Windows and distributor partner Avista Window Systems have won the contract to supply composite windows for commercial redevelopment of landmark building, Olympia House, Newport
Westcoast Windows’ distributor partner Avista Window Systems offer the complete process of purchasing windows from initial enquiry right through to and including installation, covering a large area of the West country, including Wales, Bristol, Bath, the Cotswolds, Forest of Dean, Monmouthshire and Gloucestershire.
They have recently won the contract to supply and install Westcoast Windows Swedish high performance composite windows and doors for the redevelopment of the old Passport Office, Olympia House, in Newport.
Built in the 1960s, Olympia House is a 90,000 sq ft nine-storey property with plans to redevelop the building into 62 residential units for private rental, with shops and restaurants on the lower levels.
Avista Window Systems will be working with developer RHP to deliver the window solutions for this project.
Westcoast Classic Series double-glazed windows have been specified for their high performance, low maintenance aluminium exterior and warm wood interior. The popular TSG180 top hung reversible window is ideal for multi-storey buildings where cleaning and maintenance can be carried out from the inside. FDGD Open Out Balcony Doors are ideal for residential access to ground floor terraces or upper floor level balcony locations. All Westcoast Classic Series windows and doors have been successfully tested to PAS 24:2016 and are Secured by Design approved. The warm wood interior will be finished in a clear lacquer to benefit from the authentic real wood. Externally the architects have specified a different RAL colour finish for every floor, which will certainly create a striking contemporary design.
As one of the largest buildings in Newport, the redevelopment of Olympia House will support the regeneration of the city, helping to bring residents back into the centre creating improved vibrancy and a greater sense of community.
