Westcoast Windows have won the contract to supply Swedish composite windows for the new Lambeth Resource Centre
Westcoast Windows design and manufacture high performance aluminium timber composite windows in our factory based on the west coast of Sweden.
We are pleased to announce we will be supplying the windows and doors for the new Lambeth Resource Centre.
The new-build Community Resource Centre is being delivered by Farrans Construction for Lambeth Council. The new centre comprises a community facility for the wider community as well as specialist facilities for adults with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. It will provide a day centre with dedicated spaces for rebound therapy plus a range of accommodation from short term respite care to long term care and more independent living. The centre will also provide community spaces including a café and a commercial kitchen for use by the wider public as well as residents. A corner shop is incorporated into the scheme, encouraging the public to pop in on a regular basis and integrating the centre into the wider realm.
The building takes advantage of the level differences on this South London site and is split on three floors which open towards a U-shaped courtyard. A large terraced landscape and garden area is available for all residents, with a terrace outside the day room providing additional outside space for residents and visitors, for leisure, outdoor therapy sessions and group gatherings. Many of the residential units also have private balconies.
Westcoast Windows will be supplying 400m2 of our Classic Series composite windows along with 100m2 of aluminium doors. The popular TSG180 Top Hung Reversible Window will be utilised throughout the build, combined with SHG Side Hung Windows and Sliding Doors.
Special consideration has been given to thermal comfort with the use of solar control glass and optimal security with Secured by Design accredited windows and doors.
Westcoast Windows composite windows are the practical and stylish choice for the education sector. The bonded construction of the high performance windows provides exceptional energy efficiency, with the aluminium exterior offering an incredibly low maintenance solution that can be finished in a colour of your choice.
The warm wood interior can be painted white or finished in a clear or stained lacquer to emphasis the natural finish.
