Westcoast Windows Swedish sound proof composite windows and doors are specified for Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in West London
Westcoast Windows have supplied and installed their Swedish designed and manufactured unique bonded aluminium and timber, acoustic composite windows for development of a new special needs school and college for Hounslow Council in West London, working with Northern Irish contractor Farrans.
The new £32.6M Gresham Road school and college, designed by specialist consultants Pick Everard, is being built on a greenfield site and will have a floor area of 8,500m2 over three storeys and will cater for 224 pupils with severe and multiple learning difficulties.
One of the key challenges with the site was mitigating external noise from Heathrow airport and flight paths. Westcoast Windows triple-glazed Design Series composite windows were specified for their high acoustic qualities of 48dB and efficient solar control, with windows totalling 470m2. View our ACOUSTICS DATASHEET for more information.
We look forward to seeing the project through to completion in the near future.
