Westcoast supplied the composite windows and doors for this large, modern and beautifully designed Eco house nestled in the Gillan Creek valley on the Lizard peninsular in Cornwall.
The luxury three bedroom accommodation was designed to create a warm inviting holiday home, with high spec finishes, flexible open-plan living areas, large windows to allow in maximum natural light and views out on to the wonderful surrounding Cornish countryside.
The home was fitted with Westcoast triple-glazed Design Series windows – designed with contemporary architecture in mind, with a deeper glass unit to create a minimal step between outer glass and frame for maximum light, a flush finish and elegant lines. The large full height glazing in this home really benefits from this construction, flooding the living areas with natural light with two sets of double composite patio doors inviting the outside in.
The low maintenance aluminium exterior of the composite windows and doors is finished in Stone Grey RAL 7030 30% gloss level to complement the natural stonework and the warm wood interior finished in special white pigmented lacquer sympathetic to the interior style.
The windows were delivered in two phases to meet the contractors schedule and included the popular choices from our range: TSG180 top hung reversible, SSG90 side hung projecting, FKG fixed lights (with “dummy sashes” in multi-light windows), FDGD pairs of open out terrace doors, SHIDL open in access door and TBTDD tilt and turn balcony doors.
