Westcoast Windows has been appointed to supply high-performance Swedish composite windows and doors for the refurbishment of the Theatre Building at Teikyo UK Japanese International School in Wexham, Buckinghamshire.

Working alongside developer CityAxis, Westcoast will provide 365m² of its Classic+ composite windows and doors for the redevelopment of the West and East theatre blocks – part of the iconic brutalist-style former training centre of the British Cement and Concrete Association.

The project combines architectural preservation with modern performance requirements, ensuring the building retains its distinctive character while benefiting from enhanced thermal efficiency, durability, and long-term reliability.

Preserving Architectural Character with Modern Performance

Originally developed as a specialist concrete training facility, the building is recognised for its bold brutalist architecture and strong structural identity. Refurbishment projects like this need careful consideration of both aesthetics and performance, particularly when upgrading glazing systems.
