WESTCOAST SWEDISH ALUMINIUM TIMBER COMPOSITE WINDOWS FOR COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT OF AFFORDABLE RENTAL APARTMENTS
Westcoast design and manufacture Scandinavian aluminium timber composite windows in our factory on the west coast of Sweden.
We were pleased to supply our high performance Swedish composite windows for the development of affordable rental apartments for the over 55s in Ashford Kent.
Westridge Construction delivered 31 traditionally built apartments designed specifically for the over 55’s living. The scheme has been designed to maximise natural daylight in each home and through the many shared spaces. A real community feel is fostered by the inclusion of shared facilities, including themed ‘hubs’ or sub lounges in addition to a large main communal lounge located on the ground floor.
Westcoast supplied and installed 520m2 of composite windows, in the double Classic series. The external high performance aluminium is finished in RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey and the warm wood interior of the windows are standard white.
The build uses a combination of Westcoast products: Top Hung Reversible composite window (TSG180), Fixed Lights (FKG), actuator operated Side Hung Windows (SHG) and Single Terrace/Patio Composite Doors (FDG), with security windows and doors to Secured By Design (SBD) specification to the ground floor.
