SWEDISH COMPOSITE WINDOWS FOR DEVELOPMENT OF HIGH SPECIFICATION LUXURY APARTMENTS IN STREATHAM
The desirable London Square Streatham Hill development offers a collection of smartly designed high specification studio, one, two and three bedroom apartments in a landmark location in the fashionable SW2 neighbourhood.
Working with London Square and architects CJCT, Westcoast supplied unique bonded aluminium and timber composite construction windows and doors for 254 apartments in this development.
Westcoast supplied:
- 3,350m2 of windows and doors across 254 apartments
- Triple-glazed Design Series
- TSG180 top hung fully reversible, SSG90 open out casement and FDG/FDGD terrace/balcony doors
- Acoustic attenuation to 46 dB(Rw) to reduce traffic noise pollution
- External finish: RAL 7012 (grey)
- Internal finish: White
The Westcoast triple-glazed Design Series offers a contemporary feel, suited to modern architecture with a deeper glass unit creating a minimal step between outer glass and frame for maximum light, a flush finish and simple, elegant lines.
The apartments feature the popular TSG180 Top Hung Fully Reversible composite window and SSG90 Open Out casement composite window, both ideal for multi-storey buildings where cleaning can be carried out internally. The FDGD composite balcony/terrace doors offer easy access to the outside areas.
The stylish aluminium exterior was finished in dark graphite grey and the warm wood interior of the windows in clean white to complement the contemporary living space of these homes.
Due to the development being within the vicinity of the A23 main road, it was particularly important to utilise the high acoustic attenuation of the Westcoast Design Series – 46dB Rw/41dB Rw+Ctr. The series offers a high performance, low maintenance, energy saving glazing solution, ideal for this type of high quality development.
