UNIQUE CONTEMPORARY NEW BUILD

SWEDISH COMPOSITE WINDOWS AND SLIDING DOORS CREATE OPEN-PLAN LIVING IN THIS UNIQUE CONTEMPORARY HOME

Westcoast distributor partner Aluminium Clad Windows were pleased to supply and install Westcoast Windows’ bespoke composite windows for this unique contemporary new build in Suffolk.

This individual contemporary home was developed with open plan living in mind, maximising on natural light from the broad Suffolk skies. The unique U-shaped house has a flowing layout, leading from an open plan kitchen/dining area with sliding doors to both aspects, through to a cosy living room. The open contemporary staircase leads up to a mezzanine gallery to large bedrooms and en-suite shower and bathrooms.

Aluminium Clad Windows  worked with the architects and developers to specify Westcoast Windows windows, doors and sliding doors for this project, working around tight time schedules to ensure the project was completed on time. The clients were particularly passionate about supporting a local Norfolk business, and Aluminium Clad Windows are also supplying the windows for their next development, another individually designed contemporary home.

The kitchen and living room both benefit from the large sliding doors that lead out onto an expansive patio and garden. The upstairs bedrooms also have doors leading out onto glass fronted balconies to enjoy the garden views.

The Swedish designed and manufactured Westcoast Windows composite windows and doors were chosen for their excellent energy efficiency with the triple-glazing achieving U-values as low as 1.0 W/m²K.

The low maintenance aluminium exterior of the windows and doors was finished in RAL 7016 black 30% gloss to complement the cedar cladding and aged zinc roof. The wood interior in a combination of RAL 7047 (soft grey) and RAL 9003 signal white to enhance the contemporary interiors.

The client and developers have certainly achieved their vision of designing a unique contemporary home with character and an abundance of natural light.
