COMPLETION OF STONE LODGE SCHOOL – WESTCOAST SUPPLIES SWEDISH COMPOSITE WINDOWS FOR NEW £32M SECONDARY SCHOOL BUILDING IN DARTFORD
Westcoast have a proven history of success in supplying our Swedish composite windows for many prestigious education developments with BAM Construction, and we were delighted to build on this with the supply of composite windows and doors for the development of a new £32m secondary school in Dartford.
The brand new, state of the art building, situated in Stone, Dartford, comprises a wide range of bespoke, fully equipped classrooms and specialist facilities, a full-sized sports hall as well as a number of outside learning and recreational spaces.
Working with BAM Construction and architects, KSS Group, Westcoast supplied 2,100m2 of Classic Series composite windows and aluminium doors, along with ribbon window screens.
The composite windows are a combination of FKG fixed lights and TSG180 Top Hung Reversible Window – a popular choice for multi-level buildings for ease of cleaning. The concealed projecting reversible hinge allows the sash to be fully reversed with all the action externally so the operation never interferes with curtains or blinds. The easy glide mechanism incorporates integral safety restrictors which automatically engage when opening and when in the fully reversed cleaning position. Concealed multipoint espagnolette locking provides superior closing tightness for weatherproofing and acoustic attenuation, along with a secure night ventilation position.
