EXCITING TIMES AHEAD AS WESTCOAST WINDOWS IS ACQUIRED BY INWIDO
Inwido has a business concept to develop and sell the market’s best bespoke window and door solutions. They will achieve this through a decentralized structure and with a focus on the consumer-driven market in order to create long-term sustainable growth, organically and through acquisitions.
Inwido consists of 30 business units with approximately 4,800 employees in eleven countries. In 2021 group sales amounted to SEK 7.7 billion with an operational EBITA margin of 11.7 percent. Inwido has been listed on Nasdaq Stockholm since 2014.
Inwido acquires Westcoast Windows with operations in Sweden and the UK. The company manufactures high performance composite windows, balcony doors and sliding doors in aluminium and timber at the factory in Trollhättan on the west coast of Sweden. The successful business, which in 2021 had about 80 employees and a turnover of SEK 164 million, will now be part of Inwido’s business area Scandinavia.
“The acquisition of Westcoast Windows strengthens our position in Scandinavia. The company is already successful and has a well-known brand. We see great opportunities for continued good development of the company within Inwido, but also for synergies and in the long run possible production collaborations. The acquisition is a further step in achieving our long-term ambitious growth target,” says Henrik Hjalmarsson, President and CEO of Inwido.
Andrew Mills, Managing Director of Westcoast Window Systems in the UK says, “We are delighted to be part of the Inwido group and look forward to developing our business and working with other parts of the group. Our aim is to offer domestic and commercial customers in the UK a premium Swedish manufactured high performance composite window solution, and for now it’s ‘business as usual’ fulfilling current and future orders, with one eye on the future and a potential to expand our offering.”
