Westcoast are pleased to be supplying our high performance aluminium timber composite windows for the development of retail units and luxury 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments in Gifford Street, Islington.
The 9,500 sq ft project will involve the extension of the existing retail and residential accommodation to provide a mixed use scheme comprising of one retail and seven new residential dwellings and the retention of three existing residential dwellings.
Working with Elevation Construct and Create Design & Architecture, Westcoast will be supplying 205m2 double-glazed composite windows in the Tilt & Turn opening style, along with our popular composite sliding doors.
The Westcoast Tilt & Turn composite window (TBT) is ideal for single or multi-storey buildings where cleaning and/or reglazing is to be carried out internally. The sash is operated by a concealed multipoint locking espagnolette bolt mechanism via a single key locking handle to engage either the bottom hung function (ventilation position) or when unlocked the side hung open in mode (cleaning position).
The Westcoast Lift & Slide composite sliding door (SDA) is perfect for large openings and easy access to outside space or gardens. A simple rotation of the operating handle disengages the sliding leaf from the multipoint locking bolts and at the same time, the mechanism allows the leaf to effortlessly slide into the open position.
The low maintenance aluminium exterior will be finished in RAL 7016 Anthracite grey and the warm wood interior in white.
