WESTCOAST SWEDISH COMPOSITE WINDOWS FOR EDUCATION DEVELOPMENTS – HEATHSIDE SCHOOL
Westcoast design and manufacture Scandinavian aluminium timber composite windows in our factory on the west coast of Sweden.
We’re pleased to be supplying our high performance composite windows for the development of the new Heathside School in Walton-on-Thames.
Building contractor BAM has delivered over 100 projects for the Department of Education. Construction on Healthside School started in late 2021 and is scheduled to complete by Autumn 2023.
The 900-pupil secondary school for 11 to 16 year-olds will include two main conjoined three-storey teaching blocks and a sports hall. The ground floor will accommodate practical spaces, school administration and sports, drama and the main hall. The first floor will be teaching and learning spaces, along with a library. The second floor will have further teaching and learning spaces, as well as science labs.
Westcoast will supply and install 1,365m2 of composite windows, in the double-glazed Classic series.
The external high performance aluminium will be powder-coated in RAL 7015 Slate Grey and the timber window interior will be finished in standard white. The build will use a combination Westcoast products; Fixed Lights (FKG); Top Hung Projecting Composite Windows (TSG45) with remote operation via Teleflex or actuator; Top Hung Reversible Composite Windows (TSG180), along with aluminium single and double doors.
The windows are due to arrive on site in October 2022, direct from our factory in Sweden.
