We were pleased to supply the windows for the redevelopment of the Old Swiss Laundry site in Cambridge into 50,000 sq ft of superbly designed, state of the art R&D and Office space.
Old Swiss is the reimagining of Cambridge’s Swiss Laundry warehouses and tannery into sophisticated R&D and office space.
The Swiss Laundry was a South Cambridge landmark for over a century and has been lovingly revived by the development team at Cam Prop. Its classic red brickwork now fuses with the best contemporary materials to create high-spec workplaces for info-driven businesses.
The traditional chimney and Cambridge Gault brickwork is now accentuated by higher ceilings, mezzanines and floods of natural light. The high-spec desk space, meeting areas and breakout zones create a setting where everyone would be pleased to work.
The development comprises of four buildings, divided into 14 units of varying size.
The prestigious property features high quality materials, fully air conditioned, along with individual suites with showers and toilet facilities.
Westcoast were pleased to supply 270 m2 of bespoke composite windows and doors, in our Classic double-glazed, across a range of products; SHI Side Hung Open In Window and FKG Fixed Lights.
The low maintenance stylish aluminium exterior is powder-coated in RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey, with the warm wood interior finished in white.
