WESTCOAST SWEDISH ALUMINIUM TIMBER COMPOSITE WINDOWS FOR COMMERCIAL REGENERATION HOUSING DEVELOPMENT
Westcoast design and manufacture sustainable, energy efficient aluminium wood composite windows, doors and sliding doors in our factory on the west coast of Sweden. The windows and doors are delivered direct from Sweden to site in the UK, across a range of small self-build homes to large commercial developments.
Westcoast are pleased to supply the composite windows for a development that is part of a large multi-phase estate regeneration scheme in West Ealing. Situated on Singapore Road, The Green Lane development was the first of the ‘High Intervention’ estates on Ealing’s borough wide regeneration programme.
Split over six phases of construction, the overall project will see 945 homes, a primary school, community centre and a community café built on the brownfield land site. 470 of the homes are affordable; 120 shared ownership and 350 homes available for social rent or London Affordable Rent. The remaining 475 homes are being offered for private sale.
The project provides much needed high quality replacement housing for the existing residents, with a significant proportion of these being three or four bedroom family homes.

There has been a particular focus on sustainability within the project, with a centralised energy scheme and design features that include PV panels on all available roof space, green roofs to promote biodiversity and 20% of parking spaces in the later phases having active charging points.
Westcoast has supplied the Swedish composite windows for Phase 6A comprising of three and four bedroom private homes. The units are designed to accommodate a range of living styles, with a mixture of open-plan and separate living spaces.
The Phase 6A terraced homes are installed with Westcoast Classic series double-glazed composite windows, utilising the Top Hung Reversible Window (TSG180), Fixed Lights (FKG) and Double Terrace Patio Doors (FDGD). The stylish low maintenance aluminium exterior is finished in RAL 7043 Traffic Grey and the warm wood interior in standard white.
