SWEDISH COMPOSITE WINDOWS FOR DEVELOPMENT OF NEW THREE STOREY BUILDING AND CONVERSION AND INTEGRATION OF GRADE II LISTED BUILDING FOR HAWLEY SCHOOL
Westcoast were pleased to supply the Swedish high performance composite windows for the development of a new three storey building and conversion and integration of a Grade II listed building at Hawley School.
The school in Camden, north London comprises a new-build three storey building and the conversion and integration of a Grade II listed building at 1 Hawley Road.
The single-form entry school accommodates 236 children from nursery to year 6, with classrooms arranged around an intimate central courtyard, each with access to year group-specific learning terraces distributed across the terraced rooftops.
Westcoast supplied:
- 550m2 of windows and doors
- Triple-glazed Design Series
- SSG90 open out casement and
- FKG fixed light window
- External finish: RAL Amber bronze anodised effect coating
- Internal courtyard windows fitted into a timber glulam framework
Westcoast were pleased to work with main contractor McLaughlin & Harvey and AHMM architects on this project, which included the supply of our Westcoast Windows Design system, comprising of 550m2 of windows and doors.
The composite windows’ external finish was RAL Amber coating, which gives the impression of a bronze anodising.
The internal courtyard windows were fitted into a timber glulam framework.
